Returns And Refunds
Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel a contract within seven days - starting from the day after you take delivery of the goods (a "cooling off" period). You have the right to cancel for any reason without penalty unless the item (s) are made to order according to a client's own specification. Made to order status will be represented on the product page.
If you wish to cancel a contract, please call, write to us or email at email@example.com clearly stating your full details, invoice number and cancellation instructions. To cancel the contract, you must give us notice within seven working days starting from the day after you take delivery of the order.
If an item (excluding those which are individually made to order or commissioned items), proves to be unsuitable you may return it within 14 working days unused, in its original packaging(product packaging) and in perfect and saleable condition. You may select either a replacement or refund for the item. All items require a returns number so please telephone or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org before sending the item. As we cannot be responsible for any returned items lost or damaged in the post, we strongly advise that an insured, tracked delivery method (e.g. Royal Mail Special Delivery) is used to return goods. Please be aware that Royal Mail Recorded Delivery will only offer compensation up to £41 should a package not be delivered and therefore must not be used for returning any items of a higher value. We do not refund the cost of postage and packaging for the original order. This is in addition to your statutory rights. Please confirm the returns address before you send back the item.
Refunds are processed through the Shopify payment gateway, Stripe. Your refund will show up on your account 3-10 days after the refund is processed. This delay is due to the Stripe Payment Gateway used by Shopify and is not controlled by Design My World ltd.

Please inform us of any damages within two working days of receiving the item (s). Items that have been damaged while in transit to you will be replaced at no extra cost. Please keep the original packaging in which your order was sent together with any postal labels and documents. , the reason for this is that the courier company may choose to inspect the parcel. In most cases we will ask you to send us images of the damages . Once we have this proof of damage we can then decide if you should send the damaged item back or discard it.
All products comply with UK & EU regulations, all products come with an EU Warranty for defects for an one year period. Please note that any knives or cutlery, this includes letter openers, will not be sold to minors.
WEEE Regulations- - Recycling of electrical and electronic equipment
Since 1 July 2007, the UK’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations allow members of the public to deposit old electrical and electronic items at recycling sites across the UK, free of charge.
